Shihan Mahadeb Bramha was born on 5th March 1971 at Payradanga, Nadia, West Bengal, India, to Shri Dulal Bramha and Smt. Gaury Bramha. His childhood was filled with hardship and poverty, where even the basic necessities of life were difficult to meet. But instead of being broken by adversity, these struggles made him resilient, disciplined, and determined to change his destiny.
From an early age, he developed a fascination for martial arts. The philosophy of Karate — strength, respect, and perseverance — became the guiding light of his life.
Attraction Towards Karate

From his boyhood, Mahadeb was drawn to the philosophy of martial arts. He admired the strength, courage, and spirit that Karatekas embodied. This admiration soon transformed into an unshakable passion for Kyokushin Karate, known worldwide as one of the most rigorous and demanding forms of martial arts.
Began training under Senpei Anup Ganguly at Ranaghat, Nadia.
Continued his journey at Shihan Shibaji Ganguly’s dojo in Kolkata, where he earned his Brown Belt (2nd Kyu).
Life struggles forced him to move again, but his dedication never faltered. Under Sensei Prasenjit Saha, he successfully achieved his Sho-Dan (1st Dan Black Belt).
His attraction to Karate was not only about fighting techniques but also about embracing the Kyokushin way of life — a path of courage, humility, and never-ending self-improvement.

Even as a Brown Belt, Mahadeb Bramha had the vision to open his own dojo at Payradanga (Saptarshi Sangha Club Ground). Though simple and modest, this dojo carried the true spirit of Kyokushin.
His early teaching years were full of challenges — financial constraints, lack of support, and limited resources. But through perseverance, he continued to train and inspire students.
This small beginning later evolved into AIKKA (All India Kyokushin Karate Association), now a respected Karate body in India.
Training & Experience in Japan

A defining moment in Shihan’s life came when he traveled to Japan, the birthplace of Kyokushin Karate.
In addition to his earlier training, Shihan visited Japan 13 times until 2025 and also once to South Korea. He spent many years rigorously training as an uchi-deshi (live-in student), which gave him rare insights into the true spirit of Japanese Budo.
Trained directly under Kancho Matsushima and Soshi Hasegawa, two of the greatest masters of Kyokushin Karate.
The rigorous Japanese training polished his skills and deepened his understanding of Budo philosophy — the way of martial spirit, humility, and perseverance.
These years not only enhanced his Karate but also made him a true representative of Kyokushin in India.
During his time in Japan, he formed deep personal bonds with great masters. Among his closest friends in Japan are Kazumi San (daughter of Soshi Hasegawa), Shihan Takuma, Shihan Nitsu, and Shihan Yoneyama. In Korea, he shares a close friendship with Shihan Shin.
